One star

One star review for asking for my location and for taking away the comments section. There is no reason whatsoever for this news app needing to know a users location. This used to be a 5 star app.

Its ok...

As often as the news feed gets refreshed youd think they would optimize this app for iPhone 6s/6s plus. Its been well over a year since the bigger iPhones hit the scene and still nothing.

Great ap informative

Works great, no problems

Works as advertised

iOS 9.3 issues.

So after updating to iOS 9.3 I can no longer save articles. Try it youll see what I mean. Please bring the comments back too.

Fixed and 5 Stars!

Best tech app out there! Beats the hell outta BGR!!!

Ratchet AF.

Still not optimized for the iPhone 6/6s Plus. Tragic, considering this is an app for a tech blog.

Crashes about 1/2 time on iPhone 5s

Happens on startup. Article downloads was buggy a few versions back but hope its better now. Otherwise Engadgets content is superb.

Comments

Not optimized for larger devices. Still doesnt allow for comments

Doesnt work after latest update. No content.

Its like they are trying to fail. Turned off the old commenting system before trying to deploy their obviously malfunctioning new system. One would think they could test the deployment before rolling it out to production. Now there is no comment system and no updates from Engadget about when it will come back

Decent content. App is no good

App crashes, has lousy trolling popup ads and no access to comment system. A laughable example of an app from a "tech" company.

Wheres the comments?

Why cant we comment anymore? Also the engadget app for Apple TV is terrible.

Change is not always good!

This used to be my first place stop for electronic news, not anymore. I am a tech junkie. I have to have the latest and greatest when it comes to electronics. I used to read Engadget on a daily basis, if not more often more than once a day. Then the comment section was removed, with the promise that it would be replaced. This has not happened. I miss that interaction. The topic seem to be much more generalized than in the past. I cant really explain it, but I dont really find as many topics that I used to that Im interested in reading. When I noticed all these changes I sent a couple of emails to Engadget, Never heard back from them. Now I get most of my electronic news from The Verge.

Good way to get the latest news.

Like catching up on tech news and this is a good way to do it.

Awful

Dont even bother.

Used to be great...

1. The latest update completely broke this app making it completely useless. The reviews arent read, and the developers never take feedback from people. 2. Connecting to Facebook has never worked in this app, and if it did, Im sure it wouldnt sync articles that have been read between devices. 3. Ads are becoming more intrusive, as they fill the screen without being clicked. Almost as if the developers get paid for clicks, and are tricking the system into thinking an ad was clicked! 4. There needs to be an option to disable ads, even if its just $.99. 5. Comments are gone, and it doesnt seem theyre ever coming back. 6. Even though it says its downloading articles, you still have to be connected to the Internet, because its not really downloading the articles.

Please fix offline mode

Great app love using it and have been using it for years . There seems to be a problem with offline reading . It reloads articles constantly. Please fix this. Other than that its an enjoyable app to use.

Good

Need to be made for different resolutions.

Too slow to load content

What happened Engadget? Your content load times are appalling.

Ok

You need to be able to comment.
